ReadFlow Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how ReadFlow collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the ReadFlow mobile app.
App Information

What ReadFlow Does
ReadFlow is a document reading app. It helps users open and read PDF, EPUB, DOCX, TXT, image-based documents, and scanned documents. Some documents can be opened directly on the device. Scanned documents may require OCR processing to convert images into readable text.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Google, ReadFlow may receive your name, email address, Google account identifier, and profile image if provided by Google. We use this information to create and manage your ReadFlow account, track reading and OCR usage, and sync supported app data.
Documents And Files
When you import files into ReadFlow, the app may process PDF, EPUB, DOCX, TXT, image, and scanned document files.
Files that already contain readable text may be processed locally on your device. Files that require OCR are uploaded to ReadFlow's cloud processing system so text can be extracted and prepared into a structured, accessible reading format.
When OCR is required, the original uploaded file may be stored temporarily in our cloud storage and server systems for up to one week from the time of upload. This temporary storage allows ReadFlow to continue processing pages when needed and helps users complete OCR for the document. After one week, the original uploaded OCR file is intended to be deleted from ReadFlow's cloud storage and server systems.
Processed readable documents may be saved locally on your device. If cloud sync features are enabled, processed documents or related reading data may also be saved to your ReadFlow cloud account. You can control whether supported processed documents are added to cloud storage through app settings or cloud sync actions.
OCR And Reading Data
ReadFlow may store or process OCR processing status, number of pages processed, page credit usage, reading progress, table of contents information, highlights, notes, annotations, and processed readable document content.
App Preferences
ReadFlow may store reading preferences, accessibility preferences, text display settings, cloud sync preferences, and notification or progress announcement preferences.
Payment And Credit Information
If OCR page packs or other paid features are enabled, purchases may be processed through Google Play Billing. ReadFlow may store purchase status, page credit balance, and OCR page usage. Payment card details are handled by Google Play and are not stored by ReadFlow.

Cloud Processing And Third-Party Services
ReadFlow may use Firebase Authentication, Firestore, and Firebase Storage for sign-in, account data, usage tracking, document processing status, temporary OCR file storage, and optional cloud storage.
ReadFlow may use Google Cloud services, including Cloud Run and Cloud Vision API, to process scanned documents and perform OCR. Files and extracted text may be processed by Google services only as needed to provide OCR and document preparation.
If paid features are enabled, Google Play Billing may be used to process purchases. These services process data according to their own privacy and security policies.
Data Sharing
ReadFlow does not sell your personal information. We may share or process data with service providers only as needed to operate the app, including Google Firebase, Google Cloud, and Google Play Billing. We do not share your documents with unrelated third parties for advertising or resale.
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the safety, security, and integrity of ReadFlow and its users.
Data Storage And Retention
Some data is stored locally on your device, such as imported files, processed reading content, notes, highlights, settings, and reading progress.
Original files uploaded for OCR may be kept temporarily for up to one week from upload. These files are used only to process and extract text for your reading experience. After one week, they are intended to be deleted from ReadFlow's cloud storage and server systems.
Processed readable content, account data, usage records, reading progress, highlights, notes, and cloud-synced content may be retained while your account remains active or as needed to provide the service.
